Lexitas Seemore Circle Award was established this year to recognize and reward Lexitas employees for that go beyond the day to day while living the Lexitas values: Accountability, Passion and Authenticity.
Congratulations to Erin Scott, our first Seemore Circle Winner!
Erin joined Lexitas in June 2022 and is a Senior Clinical Operations Specialist. She was nominated by her peers for incredible teamwork and ability to anticipate the needs of her projects. She has shown Accountability by ensuring all supplies were ordered, FQs and CSAs were moving along, and rec docs and budgets were going out for a challenging start up timeline. She has shown Passion by going above and beyond everyday by doing things that aren’t asked of her by are needed for the project. She is Authentic in her collaborative spirit and always being open to learning new things.
Let’s learn a little more about Erin:
How did you get involved with Clinical Research?
I attended UNC – Wilmington where I majored in Clinical Research. While I was attending UNCW, I interned at PPD in the administration department which ultimately led me to the Sr. Clinical Operations Specialist role here at Lexitas.
What initially attracted you to Lexitas?
Before I joined Lexitas, I heard so many wonderful things about the company. I heard how family oriented, supportive and hard working everyone was. As soon as I joined Lexitas as a Clinical Research Coordinator, I immediately felt like I had joined the best company with the most amazing people in the industry. The people working at Lexitas are truly set a part.
How does the company’s values resonate with your own personal or professional goals?
I love that Lexitas’ vision has always been to be the best ophthalmology CRO to work for and with. It is important that anyone working with me feels supported, respected and comfortable in every way.
What are you most excited about regarding your role with Lexitas?
This year, I am most excited about supporting my teams and studies to bring therapies to patients that will change their lives.
What do you believe sets Lexitas appart from others in the industry?
At Lexitas, you have the opportunity to grow in whatever direction your heart desires.
Who has inspired you in your career journey?
There are so many people battling diseases and symptoms that interfere with their daily lives. My mother-in-law battled ALS for many years, and it changed our lives drastically. I am hopeful that one day there will be a cure so that others do not have to experience ALS as she did. As I work in the industry, I always keep my mother-in-law, and the many others struggling, in mind. I hope my contributions are able to help bring hope to families looking for cures.
What do you like to do for fun? On the weekends, I enjoy spending time with my family at Holden Beach! I have a little girl named Annie (8 months) and a little boy named Heath (3 years). We also love visiting the NC Mountains when we get a chance!
